If that HP disc is the only one it won't read, then I wonder if the CD drive is starting to fail. Is the disc scratched a bit? The laser optics may no longer be able to compensate and that is throwing the read errors.

THink I can just go to the hp web site and download the software over an internet connection, but was holping to sove the situation.

Can you copy the CD in question to a Folder on "C" and install from there?
