| I just went through the experience of a hard drive failure and when I got a
| new hard drive installed and my system back alive I found that Outlook
| Express won't do a spell check. The spell check function limits me to French
| only, and since I don't know or use French this is of no benefit to me.
|
| When I open Tools > Options then click on the Spelling tab I see the slot at
| the bottom with the words French (France) in it. The drop-down for this slot
| has no other languages listed.
|
| The spell checker works okay in all my Office 2007 applicaitons, and it goes
| through the process of doing a spell check in Outlook Express, but calls
| every word misspelled because it doesn't match any words in the French spell
| checker dictionary.
|
| I'm using Windows XP Pro SP 2 and MS Office 2007 along with a few other
| programs such as Adobe Photo Shop. All these programs seem to be working
| right and Outlook Express works very well except for the spelling check
| problem.
|
| Any suggestions? Thanks, Gordon
|
I don't believe the Spell Checker that comes with Office 2007 is compatible with OE6.
You'll need a third party utility.
