How to set this?
When you first boot up you will see "set up" and F1 or Del or some other key to press to go into the BIOS (set up). Once in the BIOS look for Boot Order and set the CDROM to boot first. Put the XP CD in the CDROM drive and Exit and Save the BIOS. Once you're done, go back and reset the BIOS the way it was. When the XP set up has to reboot, DON'T press "any key" to boot from the CDROM or you'll install XP again. Just wait and let it do its thing.

Once XP is installed, install your programs, devices and anti malware in that order. I assume that you have XP with SP2. If not, install XP OFF LINE and then enable the firewall in SP1 and install SP2 before you install anything else.
Once done, download and install CCleaner from www.ccleaner.com and use the Clean Up Feature. Then defrag your C drive.

What size I should make them?

That would depend on how many programs, especially games, that you plan to install. 30-40 Gigs for the C drive and the rest for the D drive should be enough unless you plan to install 10 or more games.

Yes, and make it 20 gigs so that defragging is quicker. You won't need more than that for what you plan to install.

Just have read about choosing a Partition size, that unless we are planning on creating additional partitions from within Windows XP after the installation process (for any number of reasons), it's usually wise to create a partition at the maximum size possible. For most users, the default number provided will be the maximum space available and the best choice.

Nevertheless, does it make sence set two partitions for 120GB hard drive? (20GB for for XP and programs (C) and the rest for data (D).
