Virtual PC Problem

I have Vista and I am trying to install XP Home onto Virtual PC. Xp installed after a few errors copying files. When I try to log onto XP I am prompted for a password (which I never set up) and I get an error message
*The system cannot log you on due to the following error: The specified domain doesn't exist or could not be contacted *
Can I fix this or should I just try a new VM ?
