Re: WinBoot CD containing i386 and files to FDISK and Format

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this WINBoot CD? Are you trying to create an installaion cd of sorts? To use the fdisk and format utilities you will have to create a DOS boot cd. Windows XP setup does not use these utilities to do disk work.

I have read that you can get the Boot image from the WIN CD but then this starts and prompts you for DISK 1 of the Install disks.

I was using Nero Burning ROM. If I choose a floppy boot Image then the CD appears as a small floppy disk so I can't access the i386 files which have also been burnt into it.

Is there a BOOT image out there emulates a CD size and opens to just DOS so that I can access the files on the CD?

I hope I am making sense here.
