Hey Colin yes its me again I did some studying about boot issues and
discovered how to make my cdrom first in line in boot-up, I have now seen the
press any key screen. Now I need to build up the courage to reinstall again.
Thanks for your paticance (dont know how to spell either). I have also
discovered that I don't know as much about pc's as I though I did. Anyway
Thanks again for the help. Larry PS, Thanks to all the guys that responded
to my problem, I surely needed the halp.

The screen to press any key will only appear if the cd drive is higher in
the boot order than the hard drive once an OS is installed. If the boot
order is hd then cd you will not see the message even if there is something
wrong with the OS preventing it from booting. If the order is cd then hd
you will see the message for any bootable cd. The boot order is set in the
BIOS. Move the cd ahead of the hd and you will begin to see the message.
