Personalised Start Menu ??

In XP, is there no 'Personalised' Start Menu when using the XP Style menu
(as opposed to Classic)?

My Start Menu > All Programs is very long due to the amount of programs
installed, and I am wondering why it hasn't started displaying only recently
used items. Does this only happen with Classic Start Menu? With all the
different operating systems I use, I forget.
