trying to upgrade/re-install xp pro from my recovery disk. Get a message
that
the wrong volume is in the drive. I think this means my product key
doesn't
match my recovery disk. Before I attempt a complete re-install I'd like a
second opinion, since the tech support didn't know what they mean. Thanks

Aecovery disk will wipe out the drive and install new...
so be sure to back up your data first
.
