Yes I share documents with others.... But have had not problems with word
2000 yet...everyone I send documents to can open them and work on them
without any problems.....I have already installed word 2000 on my old
computer and do have the discs to put it on my new computer. I have heard
from others that it will work on there.
yes there was a version of word that came with a 60 trial on my new vista
computer but they want to charge me 150 dollars to get it.....
Is there a problem with installing my old word 2000 on my new computer?
Since Microsoft does not support it....seems that it would not be violating
anything.
I could also rebuild my current computer and take this one back...but I
would then be putting in a new pci express motherboard , new processor and
new hard drive.....so it would be a major overhaul....but it would not be a
new computer....
you seem to think word 2002 is basically equivalent to word 2003? I have
heard otherwise....but who knows....

I am in the process of either buying a new computer with vista or
else rebuilding my current computer. I have heard that both word
2000 and 2002 is compatable with vista....But I have heard that
word 2002 is not a great version of word....What about word 2003?
Is it better than 2002?
Microsoft Office 95, 97, 2000, XP (2002), 2003 and 2007 all are fine -
depending on what you need. My bet would be that more people have
Office/Word 2003 than any other version at this time (given the length of
time it has been available and the likes.) Some are finding it difficult to
adjust to the 2007 versions menu system/etc. Which one you decide to use
will be entirely up to you and your needs.
(Do you share these documents with others? Do they edit them and pass them
back to you to edit them and return them and so on? What features of Word
do *you* need?)
I already have word 2000 from my last computer. I was also
wondering can I put word 2000 on my new vista computer? If not
...if I rebuild my current computer (if I rebuild my current
computer then I would take my brand new vista back) ....by rebuild
I mean put in a new hard drive, new pci express motherboard and new
processor...so in other words can I use my word 2000 and install it
on my rebuilt computer? I am confused about how transferable word
is.....
Do you have the installation media for Word 2000?
If so - install it in any one place you desire.
Did it come with the computer in question as part of Works?
