Would a MS MVP - and a MS MVP only - recommend an Antivirus

There
are so many from which to choose Many thanks.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is MS MVP?

John.

An MVP is a Microsoft, Most Valued Professional.

I was going to answer the OP's question but he wanted an answer from an
MVP
only...
so I guess I will not offer my advice.
I am both a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher and have also had 32 years
experience as a (now) Senior Service Engineer...
but am not an MVP.
I think it interesting to note that I don't think even Bill Gates is an
MVP...

No Microsoft employee is an MVP. If an MVP is hired by Microsoft, he
loses his MVP status.

Yes , that was previously answered by another respondent
anyway I was just making a little joke...

BTW: I read your other reply about the Avast suggestion and have used that
myself...
also have used AVG. Found both of them to be very good *free*virus
checkers...and better actually than a few commercial products.

I get a lot of machines in for repair that have had updated versions of the
"big name"viruscheckers...and have seen them pretty badly infected.
the free AV apps usually find (and repair) a *lot* of stuff that was missed!
Amazing!
