Dear readers,

After having installed the latest updates, I look in the Windows directory
which is confusing me now:
In the Windows directory I see the directory 'ie7' in BLUE letters; what
does this mean?? Normally blue letters mean the file is compressed.
Another Windows directory 'ie7updates', contains the files KB938127-IE7,
KB939653-IE7, KB942615-IE7 (latest updates), all 3 are in BLUE letters; this
means I can remove them?? Normally the update/ uninstall files are between
$....$ signs, which means they may be removed. This is confusing me, any
advise?

Thx, Max.

If you haven't done so already, you might want to post your question in the IE7
newsgroup.

As I understand it, the IE7 folder is there should you want to revert to
Internet Explorer 6. The ie7updates folder contains the file needed to uninstall
the updates to Internet Explorer 7. Personally, I prefer to keep these folders
in place since I'm not pressed for hard drive space. Also, I can't tell you what
the consequences would be should you need to uninstall IE7 and these folders are
not present.

Good luck
