hi malke,

I run norton 360 as anti virus. I used ad-aware 2007 to remove problems. I also used windows defender that remove a trojan that was making my internet browser (IE7) get error message and hijack.

any ideas about that prblem
from MVP PA Bear:

"One or more options/settings in an ever-growing number of third-party applications may be disallowing the change(s) from "sticking". These include but are not limited to Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer, SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor, Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro)."

So first examine what security software you have running and make appropriate changes. If none of the above is applicable to you, do at least some general malware scanning:

Oops, sorry! Hit the send button by mistake. Here's what I was trying to say:

It is unclear from your reply whether things are working now or you are giving us the recent malware history of the machine. If the latter, then I would guess that either 1) your machine has not been completely cleaned up and you should follow the steps at the link I gave you above; or 2) the trojans damaged your operating system. If #2 is applicable to you, then perhaps this MS KB article about repairing IE7 will help:
