I am having problems getting Norton360 installed and running properly. I am
getting "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on
this computer. Please contact your system administrator." error during
installation and when I attempt to open N360 (after installation). N360 will
not open but it appears that some components are operating.
I had to attempt to remove Symantec Client Security manually (per
manufacturers written instructions) which involved manuallly editing the
registry. Some of the registry keys (associated with Client Security) will
not delete and I get the "Error Deleting Key" window with no additional
information.
I am operation Windows XP Pro /w SP2 as an administrator and have tried
changing permissions for the registry key in question. (I question if the
system is actually allowing me to change permissions.) Any ideas?
