Mike,
I don't understand. That fixed the echo when I play MP3's but somehow my
system sounds have been disabled. I ca only hear MP3 files now. What do you
think is happening?? Thanks.

Hello,
All of a sudden all the system sounds have this severe echo to the
point where I cannot even make out voices in a video file. All the
drivers seems to be working fine. I played around with all different
sound setting but nothing. What could this be? Thanks in advance.

It's one of the sound settings you have not played with yet. On my system
with a creative sound card there is an "Audio HQ" icon in control panel
the
echo effect can be found there. Look around for something like that on
your
system.
