Good morning LVTravel. Your solution did the job, It was as simple as
hitting F1 at startup this morning. Once on the BIOS page I used the H
position adjustment on my monitor to auto correct, I have full access to
all
of my screen views again. Many people such as myself are not aware that
you
might need to adjust settings on a monitor several times in different
stages
to allow everything to be shown on what we take for granted as a (normal)
view. Many kudos to you for taking the time to help. Thankyou, Charlie!

Attn: Pegasus (MVP) and NoConsequence. I apologize for not being sure of
where to post. I was sent here from TechNet General by AJR on 11/01 where
I
posted "Don't know if this is BIOS, software or hardware. He also
informed me
that I was in the wrong group. I must admit I at least get a response on
this
page. ----Hello LVTravel ! This sounds like something that might work .
I'm
not going to try this tonight I've been up since 6 AM ( I'm on the west
coast of Florida and it's just after 10:30 PM) but I will in the next day
or
so be back with the results of your suggestions. Thank you, Charlie

anti-virus/
spyware protection. In first week of Oct. I reformatted my hard drive
and
reinstalled xp and my other programs. about the 10th of Oct. I had a
problem
booting (total freeze)and had to do a manual shutdown. When I
restarted I got
the "use last known good configuration screen" When I hit enter
everything
seemed ok except that the HP startup screen was shifted to the left
25%. If I
hit F1 my BIOS screen is shifted to the left also. This results in not
being
able to see or adjust most anything that is on left side of screen. HP
doesn't have an answer and with many hours into this I can find
nothing on
the web. Has any one ever seen anything like this.

Why ask here? BIOS is not a part of XP and is accessed LLOONNGG
before the OS starts to boot.

Ask elsewhere

Glad my suggestions helped. Thanks for the response back.
