I am running Windows XP and have, for the most part had no issues until
recently. I tried to install a new version of Symantec, Norton Antivirus
after running an older version for quite some time. Those attempts failed
due
to errors upon installation. After giving up on that, I have recently
tried
to install Zone Alarm Pro Internet Suite, and am now recieving the same
type
of error. I reboot, and try to install, intstallation errors out. When I
try
again, I recieve a message that tells me I do not have admin. privlages to
complete this task? This cycle just repeats itself over and over. I have
performed uninstalls of old Symantec, and old Zone Alarm, unfortunately
there
are still shared symantec dll files that I am unable to delete. If anyone
has
any advice or ideas, they would be greatly appreciated.
