but it doesn't affect the Desktop.
The desktop's program folders or groups or whatever you're s'posed to call 'em
these days, when opened display all the items as if I'm looking a files, rather
than icons.
That's how I prefer to view a hard disk and its directories, as it's easier to
see what's what, sort by name, type or date modified.
I've since reset it to defaults and am now viewing each folder via details as I
open each one. I'll see if it stays this way, or when I next log on to the
computer whether it's changed back to icons for all folders and desktop.
