You have any anti-malware software running? Adaware, Zone Alarm or other?

Thanks Elmo. Neither of these fixes worked for me. Must be something blocking the save.

When I log off, or reboot, I lose my Quick Launch Toolbar and have to reinstate it. This has only recently started to occur, previously it was fine and reinstalled upon rebooting. The Taskbar Properties have SHOW QUICK LAUNCH ticked when I log off, but give an empty box when I log back on.
Thanks for any ideas.
