Peeking past my filters, I noticed that Mr Pegasus had a
pedantic fit, and as usual refrained from posting any useful
replies. I conclude that it is safe to keep him or her in my
killfile.

Now, does anyone have any information on the persisitent
mini-window and how to get rid of it?

When you next lift your filter for a microsecond, please pay
attention to a couple of things:
- Other respondents are equally disinclined to respond
to your multiposted item.
- Check some of my fairly frequent replies to single-posted
queries in this and other newsgroups, e.g. the one titled
"ntoskrnl.exe and hal.dll error on startup". I try to assist
if possible but I do not care to waste my time on multiposts.
