Re: Unable to download anything

First, go to control panel--internet options and delete your temp internet
files and cookies. Then try. If still no go, what firewall are you using?

I have been unable to download any file from any website. I receive a
message
on IE7 that Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site .
The
requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. It hangs on
Firefox.
The latest was after installing Windows defender, I received this error
message after it was checking for updates: Error found: Code 0x80240022. I
couldn't find this error message on Microsoft's website. I am using
Windows
XP SP2. I have checked my internet settings and downloading is enabled in
tools. I have also reset the settings, but that didn't work either. I did
run
%systemroot%\Windowsupdate.log file and think I see problems, but have no
idea where to go from here.

Any ideas?
Thanks for any suggestions!
