Re: Cache memory error

Thanks John John, your answer was much more helpful than the other one I got,
but it was as I feared, I hate to send my baby away.
Well thanks again
cheers

Hi, need help, my son was playing a game on my pc and called me in to see
that there was a blank screen with pink vertical lines through it. Can't get
much info out of him as he is only 4. I did a restart by pressing the button
on the front as I didn't know what else to do. Now getting a screen that says

DEL:Setup F11:Boot Menu F12:Network Boot
Cache Memory Error

Press F1 to run SETUP
Press F2 to load default values and continue

I pressed F1 which took me into the BIOS setup screen, loaded the default
BIOS settings, and saved and exited, then was faced with same screen...Cache
memory error...etc.
I then tried F2 which gave me same screen practically...

DEL:Setup F11:Boot menu F12:Network menu

Cache memory error
Run SETUP
Press F1 to resume

I then press F1 and get a blank black screen with a tiny flashing horizontal
line in the top right corner....and that's it ....nothing!

Please help I am no tech expert and have no idea what this means

This is a hardware problem, if the computer is still under warranty call
the manufacturer and get them to service it. Processors have a small
amount of very fast memory, commonly referred as L1 or L2 cache, the
error most likely means that this super fast memory isn't working
properly. The processor may need to be replaced but that will have to
be determined by a competent hardware technician.
