Evidently I have an old version of Itunes (4.2.0.74) which came with my
computer purchased three years ago. I am being prompted to download an
updated version of the program which I can't seem to do properly.
What is the function of Itunes? If I uninstall it, will I notice any
change in my day to day system operation? I rarely use the audio on my
computer - keep it turned off except for the occasional holiday e-mail.
Any basic help to understand what Itunes is all about appreciated.
iTunes is primarily used with an iPod. It came bundled with Apple QuickTime.
If you don't have an iPod you can safely remove it.
