Re: XP-ATI-DOS-ALT+F5 Problem

Hmm. . . I have an ATI card and it doesn't happen here. Just a guess, but you could try disabling the ATI Hotkey Poller service.

I have several legacy DOS programs that use the function keys for many
tasks. The ALT T5 key behaves normally under Win9x and Win2000. But under XP
with an ATI graphic adapter, ALT F5 pops a dialog saying "settings have
changed....". It appears to be a remapping by ATI, This particular ATI is a
Radeon Express 200. DOS app runs in a window, not full screen.

I have goggled and found "some" leads, one was a registry hack, but that
didn't work. Everything else was a little too vague for me.

Has anyone found this condition and if so how did you solve it or is there
some way to change the key mapping?
