On the Tools menu in My Computer, click Folder Options. Click the View tab. Clear the "Hide extensions for known file types" check box.

In the SEARCH RESULTS list, how do I see the file's extension
(i..e, .TXT, .DOC, .XLS, etc) instead of the file's "type" (i.e., Text
