when I try to open something with adobe reader, it freezes and I can't open.
This also happens at my work computer also. Why?
In order for us to answer, it is important you provide as much detail as possible.
What version of Adobe Reader? Does this happen when you run it as a standalone or as a browser plugin? If the latter, which browser/version are you running?
It's possible you may need to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader. If this is the case, I would install AdbeRdr810_en_US.exe found at:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/8.x/8.1/enu/
Other information that might be useful:
Make and model of your PC
Type and speed of your CPU
Amount of RAM
Size of hard drive and amount of free space
