Re: Removing search addresses

If you don't use Internet Explorer, what browser do you use? MSN is not a
browser. If your browser is labeled MSN (not just the home page) then you
have an MSN branded version of IE.

Hi Daave

I went to the ccleaner website however it appears that it will clean URL's
that are on internet explorer search. Since I do not use internt explorer
I
don't have the URL problem. I use MSN search exclusively and this is where
the URL's are piling up. Will the ccleaner remove the MSN search URL's
also
or just the internet explorer search URL's. Presently I do not have any on
internet explorer since I do not use it.

Thank you for your assistance and look foreward to your response.

I use MSN rather than internet explorer.

MSN Explorer is basically a shell around the Internet Explorer broswer.

When I enter an address i.e.
google in the address bar and then click on the green "search web" I
can go to the site without problem. The problem I have is that when
you enter an address in the address bar a scroll down list comes up
under the address bar listing all the sites that I have been to so
that you can select one of the listings if you are going to use it
again. I have tried to delete this listing without success. I have
gone to view history and clicked on view and selected all items
listed but still cannot remove the address listing under the address
bar. Any help would be appreciated. I contacted MSN and they had me
try several things including the history thing and they could not
solve the problem either. I have about 30 sites in this list and want
to delete them all.

Ccleaner is the easiset way to clear that up:

When you install it, (unless you *want* it installed) don't check the
box to install the Yahoo toolbar.

HTH.
