Hello curt! I am using a laptop that was bought recently coompaq presario V6307. I am afraid this has no mouse but a small touch pad. Even as I type, I had to correct the cursor to the normal position about 16 times. You could imagine the hassle I am enduring. There nothing wrong when dragging ar dropping, this occurs only when typing.

Hi Alexander,

The first thing that comes to mind with an erratic cursor, is a bad mouse (wired). When mine went, the cursor was all over the screen and even to the extent of clicking open windows, all faster than the eye could even keep track of.

In the event of a bad wireless mouse, or low batteries within, I'm afraid I have no experience.

The typing is affecting the touchpad. That is to say, the vibration
causes the touchpad to think you are tapping somewhere on the touchpad.
See if you can lower the sensitivity, or turn off the ability to tap on
the touchpad to select.

Thanks for reporting back. I'm so glad that helped, but didn't know myself exactly how to turn off the option, etc., not having a laptop. How exactly were you able to fix it? What options were available?
