Re: Programs entering List

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Thanks for the reply Elmo, but that doesn't work.

The area I refer to is immediately above ' All Programs ' and is in the
lower section if this clarifies it at all.

I'm at a loss for words as I don't know the name of the area that I want
to refer to.

I am using XP Pro and now my computer has developed the habit of putting
every program I open in the list above the ' All Programs ' ( that the
area I was referring to) I'm sure there is some tweak to control this but
I don't know where to find it.

The list gets long and then I keep getting the message that there is not
enough room. The icon size is set to small and the number of allowed
programs is set at 10.

Any thoughts please?

Thought:

Right-click the Start button, click Properties, Customize button, Advanced
tab, deselect "List my most recently opened documents" at the bottom of
the pane.
