Hey all
I'm having some concerns about the number of svchost.exe file/program
loading on startup. I believe theirs 6 of this file showing in my
processess
runnign window.
Im not sure if this is normal, they dont appear to be using much cpu
but all
the same i like to know why i have so many of the same " svchost.exe"
there.
I'm currently running XP Home Edition, SP2.
It is normal to have multiple instances of svchost.exe running. That
said, you should always make sure that your computer is malware-free.

Hello malke
I have run mcafee, spydoctor, spyeraser and spy sweeper and all say my
system is clean. My concern is why svchost.exe has to load 6
files/programs
on start up and can be seen when you look through windows task
monitor/processess.
1. svchost.exe = System 8,344k
2. svchost.exe = System 4,280k
3. svchost.exe = Local Service 3,904k
4. svchost.exe = System 5,012k
5. svchost.exe = Network Service 4,540k
6. svchost.exe = System 20,568k
7. svchost.exe = Network Service 3,372k
So i have 7 not 6 ,and some of them are called the same but with
difference
sizes.
svchost.exe means nothing.
