Windows XP Home. I had a hard drive go bad,(bad sector). Bought a new hard drive and reinstalled the operating system on the new one. I keep the old hard drive as a slave. When I try and access the files on the old hard drive (C:\documents and Setting\USER ACCOUNT) I get an access denied prompt. There is no security tab to change the permissions. How does one accomplish this?
Take ownership of the files.
