After not using this PC for 2 months (it has 3 user account set up) whenYou need Tweak UI XP to change this.
I boot up I get one log in dialogue screen (though I don't think its the
normal windows one) with default for the username and a space for a
password and nothing else on the screen. I can get in using the
administrator password, but I would like to be able to see the three user
accounts again

Download & install. Run it from Start Menu
In LH column select Logon & on the RH side select accounts to be displayed
in Welcome Screen.

My LH side has Autologon Settings and Screensaver none of these show the
three accounts
