Re: Windows shutting down when booted up

Jimbo

Can you please post a complete copy of the Event Viewer Error Report.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

At first, this was an intermittent problem, but now every time I boot
up, I get the error message that Windows has experienced a problem
and shuts down, the programme then reboots itself and so the loop
continues. If I go into Safe Mode, Control Panel, Admin Tools,
Computer Management, Event Viewer, Application, I can see the problem
with all the error messages. When I double click one of these, it
says: Event ID 1000, Description: Faulting application services.exe.
Version 0.0.0.0. fault address 0x00a25592. Every Error event shows a
different Version number. It says I should click on:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. but of course I can't do
that on my Deskotp in Safe Mode. I've tried the address on this
Laptop and it won't go there. From the information I've given, you
probably realise that I'm no "techie". Any help or advice would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
