Re: Windows won't maximize by clicking on the Taskbar icon

On 7/31/2007 10:42 AM On a whim, David S pounded out on the keyboard

We have a user who is having problems maximizing. When he minimizes any window or app, then tries to click on the corresponding icon on the taskbar to maximize it, it won't maximize. What he ends up doing is minimizing everything until he can get to the app he wants.

We're running XPsp2.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as this user is my boss.

Thanks!

Hi David,

Clicking on the Task bar won't maximize a program, only bring it to the forefront.

Does Alt-Tab allow you to get to it? Using the Windows key-D will minimize or return everything as it was. Does right clicking and using Restore work?
