Re: BOSD

Several times a day I get a BOSD with the error message 0X000000F4. Google has not produced an usable solution.
There is no new HW or SW installed, the event viewer is clean. There is no virus or spyware, in fact no change has been made for several months.
Any help would be much appreciated
Harry

Hi Harry,

1. Does it happen in Safe Mode?
2. How long before it happens when the machine is first turned on? It could be due to heat. Failed fans in the power supply, cpu, video card, or case could be suspect.
3. Does it happen with 1 program open or only many? You could have bad RAM.
4. Does it happen when the hard drive is being accessed? I've had instances where bad sectors caused a crash.

Report back,
