Hi Folks,
I upgraded recently from Win 2K to Windows XP Home Edition.
That's not possible. You can upgrade from Windows 2000 to XP
Professional, but not to XP Home.
So exactly what did you do?
I then upgraded
to XP SP2. I had lot of Apps installed on Win 2K. Now when I try to run these
Apps in XP, they don't work. When I reboot my machine and start Win 2K,
That sounds like you installed Windows XP Home along with 2000 in a
dual-boot configuration. Is that what you did?
can't
do that anymore.
What does "can't do that anymore" mean. Exactly what happens when you
try? If you get an error message, please quote it verbatim. Did it
ever work after you installed XP?
Is there any kind of utility or setup that will allow me to
run all my pre-existing Apps on Win 2K in Win XP? or Do i need to re-install
them?
Unless you did an upgrade (which as I said, isn't possible) the apps
aren't installed in XP and can *not* be run. Yes, you need to
reinstall them.
