Connecting internet through Virtual PC

I have Windows XPP, i installed Virtual PC 6, just to check how it works,
fine, when i tried to connect to internet thro VPC i cannot, i got a USB
Modem, the VPC settings and in Device Manager i cannot see the USB drive.

Any ideas?
