Hi I'm installing an internal pioneer DVR-1810 but can't get my PC to

Can anyone tell what I need to do, for the system to read the CD ROM
and the DVR?
I am assuming you are using the secondary IDE bus here. On and IDE bus you
can have two devices in your case a CD ROM and DVR, on the back of these
devices you will see a group of three pairs of pins, they are probably
labled CS (for Cable select), SL (for slave) and MA for master. One of your
devices should be jumpered to slave the other to master.
If the units are correctly jumpered, connected to the IDE bus and the power
connection they should appear on the POST screen as the machine boots up, if
they do not you may have to go into the BIOS to to have the BIOS detect the
devices automatically.
If all this is beyond you take your machine to a computer repair shop and
have them do it.
