If i use DOS and try the same I get no such folder even a DIR will get a nil result.

So I now know that the pictures are there but My Pictures folder does not show any of them. I have reset the defaults on the folder options so that's not the answer.

Any body got any ideas as to what is happening please help (big badda boom!)

Open command promt and CD to My Pictures folder then run:
Attrib -s -h * /d
