Re: Email Info Request

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Since the help from the newsgroup specializing in Outlook Express had
exhausted all suggestions to get my OE up an running again properly I gave up
bothering them and taking up their precious time. The did try extremely hard
to solve my problem and I do appreciate all of their efforts. When learning
that there are other email programs I thought I would see if anyone knew if
Incredmail was a good program or not. I now know that it isn't. I don't
download and install anything without first getting the opinion form one of
these newsgroups beforehand. I know I can count on getting accurate
information from one of these sources. I really don't think there is any hope
for getting my OE to work properly again. Obviously there is something that
was downloaded with that update (that I uninstalled) that is still affecting
the performance of some programs on my system. I appreciate the encouragment.

You had /numerous/ threads in

I recommend continuing to seek assistance in that, OE-specific newsgroup,
Linda.

I would /strongly/ recommend eliminating Incredimail from the equation, at
least temporarily, and see if you can get OE working directly with your
mailserver(s). Good luck.

Does anyone know anything about Incredmail and if it works with Windows
XP?
For about a year now I've been trying to get the full use of my Outlook
Express program without success. I've done everything anyone as been able
to
suggest as well as follow all recommendation in the database pages. So
many
people replied to my request for help in the Outlook Express newsgroup
that
most eventually gave up. There was on gentelman who stayed with me for
months with us trying everything as well as uninstalling the program and
reinstalling it. Eventually I was able to get it to the point where it
would
send messages but I can not receive my messages. I didn't have time to
keep
devoting to that problem and still, once in a while, work on it. I'm now
tired of fighting with it. Microsoft says it's a problem with my provider
and my provider says it's a problem with the program. I give up. I need to
have an email program that will be able to do both receive and send my
messages so I have a way to get them off of the space my provider allows
me.
If anyone knows if this Incredmail is a good program or knows of a good
email program please let me know. I am a big user of stationery so I would
want that capability, if possible.
Thanks. Linda
