Do you have the tool to prove the user are running genuine signed software?

Still don't see why you have to host their files on your site & do you have
their permission to host these files? A direct link to the executables is a
better idea

Why would anyone have trouble with the Symantec site? Amittedly, their site
search is hopless but their servers I'm sure are equally as good, if not better
than where you have your site hosted

Why couldn't Brian just put links to the developers site & say Open In New
Window? Has he included the trust certificate checker? Doubtful. But his way
guarantees hits to the site, doesn't it?

Once again it has nothing to do with hits on my site. We've been down this
road
before, and as I mentioned previously I could care less about site hits. They
mean
squat to me and I have no gain from them whats-so-ever. The pages which are
on my
site have been there since Symantec's conception of offering the utilities.

There is a link to the page and always has been, which is above the utility
links I
provide as a courtesy for those that have trouble with Symantec's site.
For the moment I have made it more clear to the eyball that the user with the
issue
go to the link.


There is one user who puts all the Spybot... links to the developer sites in
his
posts
