Do I have any downgrade ability if I bought a new laptop with vista and

to have XP on it for work purposes. I have Vista home premium and need to

Sorry, the only way to do this is to format the drive and install XP. The
same applies for a downgrade from XP Pro to Home, by the way.

Before doing this, it would be a really good idea to be sure that there are
actually XP drivers for the laptop's hardware. It's very likely that there
are, but afterwards is the wrong time to find out that there aren't.
