There is one in the NNTP specs of course, and in most newsreaders,
including mine (rescind or cancel message). But the MS news server
doesn't honor those requests. Once the message is here, you can't take
it back.
Bob,
Did you use a 2nd newsreader to verify that? I know in Moz (NS for you), if you cancel a post, it will remove it from YOUR view but the post still remains on the server. Some servers will allow Moz to cancel if the email address can be verified (actual not munged) as the same between the original and the request to cancel post.
Ah, had not checked from another one. Maybe thats where it went.
