Make changes to files linked to this reistry entry.

Is there any chance you can be a little more verbose? Many things
change files yet do not cause a network problem.

Those registry entries did not exist here so changing files linked to
them can't have been happening here.

Can you spell out what Norton or acronis tools might do that would
hinder a windows network in that way?

And why it would happen only when accessing the external usb mass
storage from a network connection?
