For some unexplained reason Windows installer had stopped working
correctly.
I cannot think why
I have tried all the recommended methods and still are not successful. I
have tried reinstalling Windows installer 3.1, but it gets as far as "
checking your system" and then crashes
if I try and install download program ( EXE file) the installation
commences
and then when it is approximately halfway through installation it crashes
would reinstalling Windows XP on top of my existing installation correct
this?
I would prefer not to but if it would help I'm prepared to do that.
I'm looking forward to some useful replies in anticipation :-)
