On 6/29/2007 10:00 AM On a whim, netrdr pounded out on the keyboard
my computer shows the startup system but then goes to the page where it gives you the error about not shutting down correctly and after 10 sec. it restarts and again goes to the error page. I cannot select safe mode because the arrow keys do not work. How do I stop the computer from restarting over and over?
When the system reboots and the screen goes black momentarily, start pressing the F8 key repeatedly until the menu appears. Try pressing the number key corresponding to the selection if your arrow keys don't work. Then select Safe Mode and see if it will boot. If so, try a System Restore to a time prior to the crashing.
