Yes. The icon reads Internet Connection Status: Connected and the icon is
two monitors at the bottom of my actual monitor. I hope this doesn't confuse
the issue but I also cannot see the "status" window, either when I click on
the Internet Connections icon, or when I go to Network Connections and click
on "view status of internet connections". Thanks for your interest.

Hey, guys... I am not really having a PROBLEM connecting to the internet but
I don't understand why my PC keeps disconnecting and connecting the internet
gateway. Periodically I see a "bubble" come up that says "Internet is now
connected". But this happens randomly. I don't keep making changes to the
system. It just keeps popping up. When I open Network connections I see it
is connected. Then when I had it up it disappeared after it said it was
disabled. Then it popped back in again. I really don't understand why this
is happening. I have a wireless network.
Just to clarify, the bubble that pops up is saying "The INTERNET" and
not "The NETWORK". Once we get that out of the way, we can move on.
Just to double check, go into Network Connections, right click on your
wireless connection, and go to the properties of your TCP/IP
connection. Make sure that everything is set to "obtain automatically".
Can you list for me the different connections you have under your
network connections menu?
