Re: problem with add/remove programs

Hi John,

There shouldn't be any white at all.
Remove the last program listed before the white starts via Add/Remove if
possible.

If not, this is generally due to the DisplayIcon having a negative number.
From here you can either remove the negative number or remove the last
application listed: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{}

I can scroll to have white at the bottom but there is no white within the
list.

John,

Is there a white space at the beginning or the list or in the centre of
the
add/remove programs list?

This computer was upgraded from 98SE to XP with only one glitch that I
know
of. There were dozens of programs installed over seven years. Right
now
the list in add/remove is one screen of 14 programs and no matter how I
sort
I can't get the other programs displayed. I read a solution that
involves
editing a registry key for AutoCAD but I don't have AutoCAD and that was
the
only solution I found. Any ideas?

This wasn't really a problem until I installed the Safari browser beta
and
wanted to uninstall because it crashed at startup. I ended up doing a
system restore since Safari wasn't listed under Add or Remove.
