Hi Paul,
This happens if the file MFC42LOC.DLL is present in the C:\Windows\System32
folder. This is a localization file used by various programs, and deleting
this file (always backup first) should resolve the problem.

I'm running WXP Home SP2, standard US-ENglish install.
Some strange font is being used for WordPad and MSPaint (and perhaps other
programs) dialog boxes.
Attached is a screen shot that shows one example, of the dialog I get when I
close a MSPaint or WordPad document without saving it. In 'Open ...' and
'Save As ..." dialogs, the strange font is in the title bar. NotePad and
most other applications don't have this problem.
What is wrong and how do I fix it?
