After a comedy of errors, I finally acquired a new and compatible AGP
graphics card. After installation my display was fine, in fact it is
better
than fine, in the sense that the display is much sharper, obviously due to
the more advanced card. In sum, in seems that the problem did rest with my
old graphic card. I thank you all for your contributions. You have my
gratitude.
Well glad you have it fixed. Not surprising on what it took to resolve it,
though. Two people replied to your post within two days of it saying you
needed to replace it.
I see you're still using the (awful) web interface to post with. Do
yourself another favor and use a newsreader. Have fun.
