i seem to be running an hour behind most of the time..i reset the clock and
it is good for a couple days then screws up again...how and where do i
update it?(new time zone thingy) or is there a batterie thats loosing it?
If the time changes when the computer is off, then it could be the battery. If the problem occurs while the computer is running it's not the battery. Right click on the time display in the notification area, choose Adjust date/time. On the Internet Time tab does it show that it has been successfully synchronized? What is the time server? Check the time zone
Here is something else you can try.
Go to Start | Run. Do these commands:
net stop w32time | Enter
w32tm /unregister | Enter
w32tm /register | Enter
net start w32time
sc query w32time
The sc command should show that w32time is running.
If that doesn't work try a reboot after the /unregister and /register attempts.
